RESTRICTED RADIOTELEPHONY CERTIFICATE (CRR)

ESSENTIAL IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS
At least one person on board must hold a restricted radiotelephone certificate in order to be able to navigate in international waters.

The CRR is regulated by the Decree of February 22, 2011 amending the Decree of May 18, 2005 relating to restricted radiotelephone operator certificates for the maritime mobile service and the river mobile service. The CRR is an examination which takes place in the manner of the driving license code.
The examination consists of a multiple choice questionnaire and relates to the program of the maritime preparation manual. It is the National Frequency Agency which organizes and administers the exams.
WHERE TO REGISTER?
To register, you must go to the ANFR website to download a registration form. The file must include the registration form (river or sea) completed and signed, the payment of 78€, a copy of the identity card and two recent identity photos.
You can check the CRR calendar and the list of exam sessions in the department of your choice. After reservation and registration of your file, you will receive a notice for the desired date and place (the address of the examination center is specified on this document).
